Values of Games for Information Decomposition

The information decomposition problem requires an additive decomposition of the mutual information between the input and target variables into nonnegative terms. The recently introduced solution to this problem, Information Attribution, involves the Shapley-style value measuring the influence of predictors in the coalitional game associated with the joint probability distribution of the input random vector and the target variable. Motivated by the original problem, we consider a general setting of coalitional games where the players form a boolean algebra, and the coalitions are the corresponding down-sets. This enables us to study in detail various single-valued solution concepts, called values. Namely, we focus on the classes of values that can represent very general alternatives to the solution of the information decomposition problem, such as random-order values or sharing values. We extend the axiomatic characterization of some classes of values that were known only for the standard coalitional games

Double Oracle Algorithm for Computing Equilibria in Continuous Games

Many efficient algorithms have been designed to recover Nash equilibria of various classes of finite games. Special classes of continuous games with infinite strategy spaces, such as polynomial games, can be solved by semidefinite programming. In general, however, continuous games are not directly amenable to computational procedures. In this contribution, we develop an iterative strategy generation technique for finding a Nash equilibrium in a whole class of continuous two-person zero-sum games with compact strategy sets. The procedure, which is called the double oracle algorithm, has been successfully applied to large finite games in the past. We prove the convergence of the double oracle algorithm to a Nash equilibrium. Moreover, the algorithm is guaranteed to recover an approximate equilibrium in finitely-many steps. Our numerical experiments show that it outperforms fictitious play on several examples of games appearing in the literature. In particular, we provide a detailed analysis of experiments with a version of the continuous Colonel Blotto game

Journalists and source protection in motion pictures

Diplomová práce s názvem "Novináři a ochrana zdrojů ve filmové tvorbě" se zabývá zobrazením investigativních žurnalistů ve filmových dílech původem z angloamerické jazykové a kulturní oblasti. Zkoumány jsou filmy, jež byly natočeny, resp. měly premiéru v posledních třech desetiletích století dvacátého a prvního desetiletí století dvacátého prvního. Ze sedmdesátých let jeden, z následujících desetiletí vždy dva. V teoretické části práce jsou vysvětleny potřebné pojmy. Následuje výběr z historie investigativní žurnalistiky v anglicky mluvících zemích. Je připomenuto i několik významných událostí a osobností investigativní žurnalistiky dvacátého století. Krátce je pojednáno o politickém filmu šedesátých let a následujících desetiletí. Metoda kvalitativní analýzy a předpoklady rozboru jsou uvedeny. V praktické části je každý analyzovaný film popsán a následně detailně rozebrán. Specifická metoda kvalitativní analýzy je u všech filmů stejná a výsledky jsou zapsány v podkapitolách podle stejné struktury k přehlednému srovnání jednotlivých filmů. Detailní popisy zkoumaných sekvencí jsou umístěny v příloze.This diploma thesis named "Journalists and source protection in motion pictures" focuses on investigative journalists pictured in movies that have originated in Anglo-American language and cultural area. Analyzed are such movies that either have been filmed or have had their opening night in last three decades of the twentieth century or the first decade of twenty first century. From 1970s decade there is one movie analyzed while from all the other decades there are always two movies were being taken into analysis. Theoretical part of this thesis consists first of all of all necessary terms followed by several chapters about history of investigative journalism in English speaking countries. Several important personas and events from the area of investigative journalism from the twentieth century are also mentioned. Political movies from 1960s and 1970s are also briefly mentioned at this point. Briefly discussed are also principles of qualitative analysis method and necessary assumptions. Within the practical part of this thesis every movie is described and analyzed. Specific qualitative analysis method is the same in case of all the analyzed movies and results are discussed in specific subchapters by the same structure so all movies can be easily compared and cross-analyzed. Safe handling of loads when operating a crane

První část práce je věnována problematice bezpečného používání zdvihacích zařízení včetně stanovených požadavků právních předpisů a technických norem. Praktická část práce se zabývá analýzou současného stavu provádění manipulací s břemeny pomocí jeřábů v jednotlivých výrobních úsecích slévárny Metso Outotec Přerov. V závěru práce jsou navrženy a vytvořeny bezpečnostní karty, které poskytují prvořadé informace pro kompetentní osoby s cílem snížit počet pracovních úrazů ve slévárně Metso Outotec Přerov, které vznikly nebezpečnou manipulací s břemeny pomocí jeřábu.KROUPA, Tomáš. Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá zajištěním bezpečnosti a ochrany zdraví osob při provádění výkopových prací a zakládání staveb. V teoretické části práce se autor zabývá právními předpisy a požadavky na bezpečnost při provádění výkopových prací a zakládání staveb. V praktické části práce jsou specifikovány obecné požadavky na zpracování technologického postupu, dle kterých je následně vytvořen konkrétní technologický postup zemních a výkopových prací při realizaci podkladní betonové desky na základových pásech RD. Cílem práce je vytvoření přehledného a jednotného interního dokumentu pro společnost T&D Stavební s.r.o., který přispěje k celkovému zvýšení bezpečnosti práce všech pracovníků provádějících stanovenou pracovní činnost.The presented diploma thesis deals with occupational safety during the execution of excavation works and the establishment of structures. Proposal Documentation for Certification of Companies Providing Services in the Field of Integrated Security Technologies Using IT.

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je návrh a vyhotovení dokumentace ČSN EN ISO 9001:2009, ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005, ČSN OHSAS 18001:2007 pro společnost poskytující služby v oblasti integrovaných bezpečnostních technologií. V práci jsou popsány systémy managementu jakosti, environmentálního managementu, managementu bezpečnosti a ochrany zdraví při práci a managementu bezpečnosti informací. Práce obsahuje návrh na integrovaný systém řízení, odpovědnost vedení, řízení zdrojů a management realizace produktu a služby, včetně dokumentace a implementace navržených zlepšení. Součástí práce je návrh na využití IT ve společnosti. V závěru práce jsou vyčísleny náklady na zavedení a následné úspory.The main objective of this bachelor thesis is the design and preparation of documentation CSN EN ISO 9001: 2009, ISO 14001: 2005, OHSAS 18001: 2007 and ISO 27001:2012 for the company providing services in the field of integrated security technologies. The thesis describes quality management systems, environmental management, management of health and work safety and information security management. The work contains a proposal for an integrated management system, management responsibility, resource management and produc t realization and management services, including documentation and implementation of the proposed improvements. The work includes a proposal for the use of IT in the company. Finally, they calculated the cost of implementation and the subsequent savings.

Positive Subreducts in Finitely Generated Varieties of MV-algebras
